DRAKE’S^® SNACK CAKES CELEBRATES 120TH ANNIVERSARY

Drake’s^® is celebrating 120 sweet years of providing the Northeast with delicious snack cakes such as Yodels^®, Devil Dogs^®, Ring Dings^®, Yankee Doodles^®, Funny Bones^®, Sunny Doodles^® and Drake’s Coffee Cakes. Founded by Newman E. Drake in Brooklyn, New York, in 1888, the first Drake’s product on the market was pound cake sold by Mr. Drake by the slice. • Drake’s celebrated its 100th anniversary in 1988 by producing the world’s largest Ring Ding cake.

• In the late 1990’s, Rosie O’Donnell made the regional snack a household name by professing her fondness for Drake’s cakes on her national talk show, The Rosie O’Donnell Show.

• Drake’s Coffee Cakes were featured in a 1992 episode of the popular sitcom Seinfeld.
