Hostess Brands is among the nation’s largest and best-known providers of fresh-baked bread and sweet goods in the US with annual sales of $2.5 billion (est.). Our approximately 19,000 employees operate 36 Bakeries and 570 Bakery Retail Outlets nationwide; and run approximately 5,500 delivery routes from 565 Distribution Centers. 

Our Brands

Sweet Snacks

Twinkies®, CupCakes, Ding Dongs®, Ho Ho’s®, Sno Balls®, and Donettes® - all famous Hostess® brands - are top sellers in convenience stores. (IRI/All Scan data: 52-weeks ending 10/31/11) Other iconic brands are Drake's® cakes, which have been produced since 1888 and are a leading snack brand in the northeast U.S. and Dolly Madison® cakes, since 1937, and now a direct-delivery snack cake brand.

Wonder® bread has been a part of American family meals for 90 years and is the best selling white bread in the country.  National bread brands: Wonder and  Nature’s Pride®, the first 100% natural bread available across the US, Strong regional bread brands:  Merita®, the premium bread in the southeastern U.S., Home Pride®, the leading regional wheat bread, Beefsteak®, the number one rye  brand in the country, Butternut®, Millbrook®, Eddy’s®,  J.J. Nissen®, Sweetheart®, Cotton’s Holsum®, Sunbeam®, and Bread du Jour®.  

Sales Channels

The majority of our bread is sold through mass merchandisers and supermarkets; our snack cakes are sold primarily through supermarkets, mass merchandisers and convenience stores.  Hostess Brands are top sellers in convenience stores with Hostess Donettes ranked #1 and other Hostess sweet snacks and cakes claiming the next top five spots in convenience stores.

Our Distribution Model

Hostess wholesale bakeries produce products that are distributed through a direct store delivery system of 6,000 routes serving 50,000 customers throughout the United States.
